Water improvements are clear to see
LEADING national pool service and maintenance company, DG Pool & Leisure has completed the first phase of improvements at Bath Sports and Leisure Centre – one of 11 UK swimming venues managed by charitable trust, Aquaterra Leisure.
The results are clear for all to see with water quality improved dramatically following the installation of a Bayrol Analyt automatic dosing controller. The state-of-the-art unit works in synchronisation with a new BMS (building management system) that uses HTH, dosed through a Granudos 45, with new chemical injection points.Swimming Lessons
Bath is a very popular centre, with a main pool that is 25m x 12.5m with varying water depths from 0.9m to 2m deep and a water temperature of 28.5 degrees. There is also a free form, fun pool with giant water slide, flume, play features and spa pool. This water is kept at 32 degrees.
Following internal safety audits, coupled with a detailed review of assets which belong to the Bath & North East Somerset Council, Aquaterra identified an improvement programme. A number of companies were invited to view the Bath facilities and put forward their recommendations and quotes for the work.
